Dr Angela DeVita

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I help people with connection— to facilitate healthier and more authentic connections with others as well as to themselves, to their emotions and physical experience. I also help people who might be feeling the loneliness of disconnection in different cultures, countries, situations.

About Me

I foster deeper connection, helping clients cultivate healthier bonds with themselves and others. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist Registered (ATR), I offer unique pathways to understanding emotions and physical experiences. My approach is particularly suited for those navigating the loneliness of disconnection across different cultures, countries, or challenging life situations. I provide a supportive space to explore feelings, build resilience, and bridge gaps through creative expression. This helps individuals find belonging and authentic self-expression.

Approach

Helping people move from loneliness into steadier belonging shapes how I guide the work; sessions are gentle, grounded, and paced to your rhythm so exploration feels manageable. In my Simi Valley office or via secure online sessions I offer space in English or Spanish, and we often use movement, art and mindfulness practices to notice what the body and feelings are telling us between words. Small experiments and reflective prompts support learning outside sessions; this approach tends to suit adults navigating transitions, relationships, or cultural shifts.
