About Me

I am a registered Social Worker and Clinical Social Worker based in Kenilworth, Western Cape, South Africa. I help adolescents and adults manage addiction, mood disorders, eating disorders, and identity issues. I deliver individual and psychodynamic therapy and provide clinical supervision, adoption support, and Ukraine aid.

Approach

Thirty‑five years of practice shape how I hold the therapeutic space: steady, attentive and pragmatic, tuned to the rhythms each person brings. In sessions in Cape Town or online in English, we pace work to what feels manageable—sometimes focusing on immediate coping and other times following deeper patterns between sessions through brief tasks or reflective notes. The approach blends close listening with clear, collaborative planning so change feels doable rather than distant. People juggling mood, identity or addictive struggles often find this steady, practical rhythm helpful.

Services

As a Clinical Social Worker, my primary role is to provide supportive services to clients who are experiencing difficulties, stress, trauma and any life changing event that they may be experiencing.

Understanding the client's experience is fundamental as each individual is unique and will require specific and optimal treatment.

A holistic approach will always be considered, taking into consideration the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual dimensions of a client.

The goal of counselling and therapy is that the client gains insights into their behaviour and that tools for coping are created and implemented to improve general functioning.
