I understand that improving oneself and healing is a unique journey for each individual. Warmth and empathy are key values I live by in my therapeutic sessions. By showing empathy I have helped hundreds of clients reach their therapeutic goals.

About Me

I’m Byron Werbeloff, founder of Centred Counselling, and I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward — even when they’ve tried “everything” already. My approach is empathetic with a solution based approach. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly understood, not judged or rushed. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you — it’s about understanding what’s been shaping you, identifying what’s no longer serving you, and learning healthier ways to respond to life’s challenges. I work extensively with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship and marriage difficulties, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but struggling internally with overthinking, burnout, people-pleasing, or emotional exhaustion. I offer a calm, structured, and safe therapeutic space where difficult conversations can happen honestly and at your pace. Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional relief, or practical tools to cope better, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and centred in your life and relationships.

Approach

Healing moves at the pace you set, and I accompany that pace with steady empathy and clear, practical steps. From my Johannesburg office or via online sessions in English, we shape meetings to your rhythm—short check-ins, deeper processing days, and gentle tasks between sessions that suit life with trauma, chronic illness, or attention differences. Sessions blend grounding, sense-making and skill practice so insights translate into daily change. People seeking a collaborative, paced way forward tend to find this approach helpful.
