Approach

Our main mission is to help people to grow their psychological flexibility; to develop and practice resilient, flexible thinking so that they improve and maintain a rich quality of life and reduce distress from the impact of life's inevitable setbacks, challenges, and hardships. If we think of a life and resilience metaphor of FALL, BOUNCE, GROW and THRIVE, at ComposurePsychology our highly qualified, experienced and specialised Clinical Psychologists help people to Bounce and Grow after experiencing a Fall or when living with a Fall or multiple Falls. A Fall may be a mental health challenge (e.g. anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, personality and relationship disorders), a childhood trauma, a career setback, a physical health event, overwhelm from caring for others going through these challenges (such as an elderly parent or child) or a Fall may be a series of falls faced one after the other or a combination of adverse events occurring at the same time. Our second mission is to reduce stigma of mental health concerns, cancer and chronic illness and seeking and receiving help which we address through our daily, empathic and matter of fact service approach and communication with clients. In addition we facilitate stigma reduction through the Psyching Out Cancer blog, our recent contributions to international audiences through publications such as Newsweek, Stylist and Refinery19 on topics such as friendship breakdown, infidelity, wanting to escape homebased workload and family laziness. For examples of the Newsweek articles please see https://www.newsweek.com/wsid-wife-husband-burnout-son-chores-1735135 and https://www.newsweek.com/wsid-friend-weddings-family-invite-1748867?amp=1 Values Our Core values are KIND, HOPE PERSONIFIED, SAFE & PROFESSIONAL. Please see what we mean by these core values explained in more detail on our website on the About Us page https://composurepsychology.com/about-us/
