Mr Ian Hartley

Registered Clinical Psychologists

As a psychodynamic psychologist, I specialise in helping individuals uncover and understand the patterns shaping their emotions, behaviours, and relationships. By exploring past and current experiences and their impact, I empower people to achieve lasting growth, self-awareness, and healthier connections in life.

About Me

I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist in West Perth, WA, Australia. I offer psychology and therapy for anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, mood disorders and life transitions.

Approach

We gently trace the threads from early and recent experiences to how you feel and act now, naming patterns in plain, useful language so insight leads to change. In my Perth clinic and via secure online sessions in English, work is steady and paced to your needs—sometimes reflective silence, sometimes focused exploration—and I check in between sessions to support progress when helpful. We notice how shame, loss, mood and relationship cycles show up in everyday life, and many people find this way of working clarifying and stabilising.
