Mia deals in depth with a variety of psychological, emotional and relational issues that people experience on their journey through life. She offers adult individual psychotherapy and psychedelic assisted therapy preparation and integration.
She has specialised in the IMAGO approach to parenting and relationship therapy, and as an extension of her interest in Jungian Depth Psychology, has trained through the Assisi Institute in the USA, in the fields of dream translation and archetypal pattern analysis. Her interest in psychedelic assisted therapy, has lead her to join the Society of Interventional Practitioners of South Africa (SIPSA) and she is also affiliated with the Gauteng Associate Professional Members Group of SAAJA (South African Association of Jungian analysts).
Mia pays special attention to one’s conscious relationship with, knowledge of, and insight into oneself, so that one may be able to live a fulfilled an meaningful life and realise wholly the full potential of one’s Self, both in one’s life generally, and in one’s relationships. She believes in full aliveness, authenticity, and deep, lasting growth and healing.
Mia has presented numerous radio and public talks and has contributed to magazines on subjects including depression, anxiety, dependency and co-dependency, stress, happiness, relationships, self-worth, assertiveness, conflict, parenting and sex.
