About Me
Approach
I am a multi modal and integrative therapist, which means I am trained and certified to use a range of different therapies in combination or alone. My main areas are Hypnotherapy, analytic hypnosis, analysis, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapies, counselling, Acceptance and Comittment Therapy, mindfulness based practice. Core methods are combined in a holistic and integrative approach, based around research evidenced methods and models.
I apecialise in treating Trauma including both PTSD and complex PTSD, involving all trauma types including loss, grief, abuse, incest, sexual, violent and "lack" (lacking appropriate support or nuture). Talking therapy is recognised as not enough alone for complex trauma, so body mind work, parts work, somatic work and psychoeducation are included for advanced specialist trauma work.
I am also a certified specialist in anxiety, depression, mood disorders and attention deficit based cases, having completed advanced certified clinical training in each.
I am an experienced online and face to face therapist, first in practice in 1993. I am knowledge competent in a range of LGBT and spiritual contexts, as well as purely secular and clinical clients.
