Mx Tee Landman, MA

Counseling Psychologist

I am deeply passionate about working with and supporting people. My perspective balances clinical intervention with community-oriented psychological practice. I am proudly a LGBTQIA+ affirmative, consensual non-monogamies and neurodiversity affirming therapist.

About Me

I am a registered Counseling Psychologist based in Garsfontein, Gauteng, South Africa. I offer confidential counseling for anxiety, mood disorders, personality difficulties, sexual issues, and LGBTQI+ support.

Approach

My work is rooted in a relational psychodynamic approach, grounded in steady weekly sessions that give your inner world time and space to unfold safely. As the therapeutic relationship settles, defences naturally soften, making it easier to explore the emotional meanings behind symptoms, anxieties, and the ways the past shapes your present. The relationship between us becomes part of the work, offering a thoughtful, compassionate way to understand patterns that may feel familiar but limiting. I draw on contemporary psychoanalysis, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming perspectives. Together, we explore how your emotional patterns formed, what they’ve been protecting, and how they influence your relationships, identity, and overall wellbeing. This approach is well suited to people who want more than symptom relief. People seeking deeper insight, and a clearer understanding of their internal world often find this work beneficial. I draw on contemporary psychoanalysis, trauma-informed, gender and neurodiversity affirming approaches. We look together at how your emotional patterns were formed, what they have been trying to protect, and how they continue to influence your relationships, identity, and psychological wellbeing. This approach suits people who want more than symptom relief; it’s for those seeking a deeper, more coherent understanding of themselves and their internal worlds.

Services

I have a particular interest in couples/intimate partner therapy, gender-affirming care, psychosexual health, psychological trauma, and neurodivergence, including adult autism and ADHD, as well as personality-related difficulties. In individual therapy, I focus on the internal and relational patterns that shape a person’s emotional life. I also enjoy working with couples and polycules, where the relational field becomes a rich space for understanding and repair. In addition to psychotherapy, I offer group therapy and career assessments as part of supporting people in a more holistic way.
