Yajnika

Ms Yajnika Pillay, MA

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I aim to work in a thoughtful and compassionate way, gently stepping into each person’s world and seeking to understand their experiences within the emotional, relational, cultural and spiritual contexts that shape their lives.

About Me

I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, respectful and collaborative, where difficulties can be explored with care and curiosity, and where meaning can be made in ways that feel authentic to each individual.

Approach

My approach is psychodynamic and integrative, with a strong focus on how culture, religion and spirituality influence mental health and experiences of distress. I am particularly interested in how cultural traditions, spiritual identity and personal values shape how people understand themselves and their difficulties, and how these can be integrated into therapy to support a deeper and more coherent sense of self.
