Approach

My Approach: Assimilative Integrative Psychotherapy

My therapeutic approach is assimilative integrative, meaning it is grounded in one core modality — person-centered therapy — while thoughtfully integrating complementary frameworks such as Transactional Analysis (TA), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows me to tailor the work to each client’s unique needs, offering both structure and flexibility in how we understand and support your emotional world.

1. Person-Centered Foundation

My therapeutic stance is rooted in a person-centred philosophy. I believe lasting growth happens when clients are met with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. This foundation creates a warm, respectful space where you feel safe to explore, reflect, and unfold at your own pace.

2. Understanding Patterns with Transactional Analysis (TA)

To bring awareness to relational dynamics and life scripts, I integrate Transactional Analysis. TA offers a structured yet accessible way to understand how past relationships and roles influence present behavior, especially in how we communicate, respond, and relate to others.

3. Working with Emotion through EFT

I draw from Emotion-Focused Therapy to help clients access, regulate, and transform deep emotional experiences. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, or relationship conflict, EFT allows us to work with emotion not as a problem — but as a powerful guide toward healing and connection.

4. Rewriting Stories through Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy invites us to examine the stories we live by — many of which have been shaped by culture, family, or trauma. Together, we explore alternative, preferred narratives that reflect your resilience, values, and personal agency, helping you reclaim authorship of your life.

5. Embracing Inner Parts with IFS

Through Internal Family Systems, I help clients engage with their internal parts — the protectors, exiles, and core self. This non-pathologizing model fosters compassion, internal harmony, and deeper self-understanding, supporting integration and emotional freedom over time.

Services

I work with adult individuals, couples, and families who are navigating life’s emotional complexities — whether it’s anxiety, loss, relationship struggles, identity shifts, or the long shadow of trauma.

My approach is grounded, relational, and integrative. I draw from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Transactional Analysis (TA), blending them with creative, metaphor-rich tools from narrative therapy and symbolic work. Sometimes, even a set of Russian dolls finds its way into the room — helping us name and hold the layered parts of self that show up in daily life.

I aim to offer a space that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative — where no part of you is too much, too quiet, or too late to be heard. I bring curiosity, steadiness, and the occasional gentle humor, trusting that insight and change come not from fixing ourselves but from understanding what we’ve been protecting.

Whether you're attending alone or with a partner or family member, I meet you where you are — and help you move at a pace that feels right.

I believe therapy should feel human, not clinical. I work with care, not just strategy — and with a deep respect for the courage it takes to show up and begin.

If you’re seeking a space to explore, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and others, I would be honoured to work with you.
